For Hank’s Sake is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization devoted to empowering individuals through equine-assisted learning, coaching, and mentoring programs. We are committed to inspiring literacy excellence and community service through the stories of our rescued horses, retired racehorses, miniature horses, and beloved burros.
Every horse in our care once stood at the edge of uncertainty—until they were given a new chapter. Today, they thrive—not just in healing, but in helping. Through comprehensive and individualized rehabilitation and retraining, they now serve as equine ambassadors, literacy partners, and community mentors—carrying stories of second chances into classrooms, libraries, communities, and hearts—across Kentucky and around the world.
